NO LONGER BOBBY
No Longer Bobby documentary follows John “Bobby” Shackelford, a 25-year-old bike messenger who, in the turmoil of 2020, brings together four friends for a 1,100-mile cycling journey through the Deep South, setting in motion a transformation larger than the ride itself.

In September 2020, the 17-day journey, coined 'The Underground Railroad Ride', begins in Africatown, Alabama, home to the descendants of the last Africans trafficked to the United States, and culminates in Washington, D.C., tracing a route where adventure and history converge.
The route winds through historic landmarks of resistance, threading the painful legacy of the past with the urgent questions of the present.
This is adventure cycling, seen through the perspective of Black and Brown riders.
